Here you will find a link to the list of Animal Control Officers or Dog Control Officers by Municipality. If you have found wildlife- there is also the North Country Wildlife Hotline information. If you are not sure who you should contact, please call our shelter (315) 265-3199 and we will point you in the right direction!
Surrendering A Pet. Situations may require pet owners to make a difficult decision that they may no longer keep their pet. Once a pet is surrendered to Potsdam Humane, staff will work hard to find the pet a new loving forever home. We strive to be a no-kill shelter and can only take in animals as housing space allows. For pets living in contracting towns, there is no surrender fee, however donations are greatly appreciated! Fees and donations help with medical care and shelter costs during the pet’s stay at Potsdam Humane Society. Contact staff at (315) 265-3199 or gro.yteicosenamuhmadstop to discuss surrendering options. @retlehs
Animal Cruelty. If you suspect animal cruelty, please contact your local Law Enforcement Agency, Animal Control Officer, or Potsdam Humane Society. We will protect your anonymity; thank you for speaking out.
