Potsdam Humane Society Volunteer Application

Members of the public are invited to come visit our Cat Room and walk the Dog Kennel hallway whenever we are open.

DOG and CAT volunteers: We are happy to provide training to those who would like to work with our dogs and cats out of their kennels. In return, we ask you to commit to spending at least 4 hours a month, on average, at the shelter. We understand that sometimes things come up: some months you might come less often, and other months more often.

You can spend time at the shelter doing any task for which you are trained – working with the dogs, hanging out with the cats, doing laundry – or any other task the shelter needs at the moment: washing windows, dusting, sweeping floors, tidying up the Meet and Greet room.

ALL: To the best of your ability to predict, please give us an idea of what days and times of day you are available and plan to come to volunteer at the shelter.

I understand that my participation in any of the volunteer opportunities at the Potsdam Humane Society is strictly on a volunteer basis. There-fore, no insurance against bodily harm is provided for me. I agree to release the Potsdam Humane Society, a not-for-profit organization from any and all injuries or damages incurred during my participation as a volunteer in any program.
