The Potsdam Humane Society utilizes social media to encourage conversation and the meaningful exchange of information, as it relates to the mission of the organization.
The Potsdam Humane Society operates and maintains social media sites as a public service to provide information about adoptable animals, programs, services, events and activities. The Potsdam Humane Society welcomes comments, posts and photos from friends and volunteers as well as any member of the public who would like to connect to the Potsdam Humane Society community and the wider animal-loving community of St. Lawrence County, N.Y., and beyond. The site is intended to encourage open discussion and for users to share their opinions and experiences.
The Potsdam Humane Society reserves the right to remove postings or comments that it deems inappropriate or offensive. These include:

- Misleading or irrelevant information
- Bullying and personal attacks
- Support of individuals or organizations which promote animal cruelty or violate the mission of the Potsdam Humane Society
