Staff: The staff did a wonderful job while I was gone.
Now that I have returned, I plan on taking back oversite of the accounts but allowing Alysia to continue with some of the daily operational supervision so that I can focus on completing the protocol manual and revamping the behavioral operations.
Sherri Peck from Gouverneur was recently hired to fill in for Stacie Purves. After one week, she has decided the job is not for her.

David Sharpe has given his two week notice but has agreed to remain on the job to assist with the training of a new ACO for the Potsdam/Norwood jurisdiction. An ad requesting applications will run next week.

Operations: Wood pellets will continue to be used in the adoptable catteries due to cleaning issues and complaints from the public on the perfume odor of the scoopable litter. Donated scoopable litter is still being used in the intake areas and we are asking the public for donations of wood pellets.
The repairs to the FRP in the kennels are complete and look good. Steve did have to pay for the materials as there was some confusion over their approval. He has sent me the invoices so we can pay him. The cost of materials is $334.20. I have a call in to the CFO to see if their offer of donating the materials still stands.
