Staff: Interviews with participants in the Office of the Aging & Social Services programs will be held the week of June 14th. If the interviews go well, they will be paid by the aforementioned programs for the next three months to assist with cleaning and general operations. Each participant will provide approximately 18-20 hours of service per week.
Volnteers: Shea Phillips will be trying his hand at coordinating in-shelter volunteer activities for the next 6-8 weeks. He will be available for one on one orientations and has set up a Google Calendar so participants can sign up for volunteer hours on line.
Town Contracts: A Secondary Sheltering Agreement has been sent to the Town of Canton. It outlines a temporary agreement to handle stray dogs in the Canton jurisdiction through the remainder of 2010. Implementation is pending approval by the Town of Canton.
Contracts for the towns we currently serve as well as proposals for the towns of Canton, Madrid & Waddington will be available in time for approval at the July board meeting.
Miscellaneous: An air conditioner has been donated to PHS. It is in storage along with the garage sale items. There is a note on it stating that it can be used either in the new facility or placed in the garage sale for operation income.
Bows & Bandannas has offered to host an Educational/Adoption event. We will be focusing on Bully Breeds. Details will be posted on the PHS website when available.
