PR MINUTES – June 19, 2012
Present: Kay Deperno, Tone Beane, Rob Jewett, Lucille Waterson
PR Committee discussed a two-pronged approach to our work as a group:
1. Promote PHS events
2. Pet tips from area veterinarians
Discussion centered around the following:
1. Articles for area newspapers, e.g. Pet Tips – one per month, perhaps in the same spot in NCTW, etc.
Suggested topics: heat stress, fleas, ticks, etc.
Tony will approach area vets to write articles.
2. Ask Bonnie for pics for PR articles.
3. PR for Potsdam Festival, July 14 – booth in Ives Park.
4. Will there be a float for the July 4 parade?
5. Aug. 31 Golf Tournament – publicity, etc.
6. Aug. 25. garage sale publicity.
7. PR for Crusin’ for Critters.
8. PR for The Mentalist, Cheel Arena, Oct. 5., 7-9PM
9. PR for Open House, Nov. 3; Bumpo birthday party, honor Best Friends, Garden Club.
