Operations Committee met June 13, 2012. Discussed PHS contract with SUNY Canton to resolve any concerns. After discussion from Anne, Alysia and Tony in the fall PHS will call SUNY Canton one to two weeks ahead telling them what animals we have that are ready with immunizations for SUNY’s services. Beginning week of August 21 Alysia will call SUNY on Monday or Tuesday and discuss what and how many animals we have. Tony felt that this would work and emphasized all the services (e.g. dental, eye) that they are able to provide free of charge to PHS.
Also discussed general maintenance of PHS. Carrie suggested that we start advertising for cleaner position in order to create a file with candidates names, in case replacements are needed. Possibly need to plan and budget for full time maintenance person, or shift current staff responsibilities and hours in order to better utilize the skills that our present staff has.
