PHS VACATION/LEAVE TIME FOR FULL TIME EMPLOYEES

- Employees will receive 2 weeks (10 work days) paid vacation per year. These do not carry over from year to year. This vacation days should be coordinated among staff so that the shelter is not left understaffed.
**Employees will receive one week paid vacation after first year of work, two weeks after second year of service and 3 weeks after ten years of service. These weeks do not carry over from year to year and should be coordinated among staff so that the shelter is not left understaffed. More senior staff will receive priority of dates.
2. Employees will receive 5 paid sick days per year. These would not carry over from year to year.
3. Employees will receive 3 paid personal days per year, (one could be the employee’s birthday if the employee chooses).
4. Employees will also receive paid major holidays off (New Year’s, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas).
5) Unpaid leave of absences will be granted upon written request at the Board of Directors’ discretion (e.g. maternity).
