Slowly, but surely, we have been working on a classy recognition for our large donors. Pre-manufactured recognition plaques were costly, boring and, quite frankly, not fitting an animal facility. We decided to make our own. In keeping with our commitment to buy locally whenever we can, we worked with local area crafters and businesses to make plaques that we could afford. (Mike’s Trophies have been awesome!)
Admittedly, we have been slow, but we hope you will think the wait was worth it. We are excited with the results! Below are pictures of the oak plaques that are on display at the shelter as of July 2013. However, pictures do not do them justice, and we hope everyone will visit the shelter and see them “up close and personal”.
Dog Kennel, Puppy Adoption Area and Kitten Adoption Area are “in the works”. Trees and bench recognitions will come next along with our “Leaves of Love” to be placed in the reception area of the shelter. Thanks to these donors and future for their continued patience and support!
By the way…we are an all volunteer group. Our numbers are small, but our intentions are admirable! If you would like to help with this naming project, or any of the other numerous projects of the Potsdam Humane Society, please call the shelter at 315-265-3199 and let us know! We would love to have you working on our team for the needy animals of the North Country.
Below are plaques that identify donors who made significant contributions to our recent capital campaign:
