1 President called meeting to order at 5:37 p.m.
2 Announcements
· Adam has offered his resignation. Jackie has motioned to second, Cindy seconded; unanimously approved.
3 Other Business
· Employee evaluations have not been completed. Staff raises will not be completed until the evaluations have been completed and raises will not be automatically given with our regard to performance. Mid-April projected completion schedule.
· Personnel Committee requested feedback from Board on staff and professionalism/atmosphere of Shelter.
· Capital Campaign contributions are over $300,000.
· Rural Development Community Facilities Grant completed.
· Announcement of Zootoo top 10 is in Las Vegas on April 7th.
4 Fund Raising Discussion with Pat Tubbs
· Reviewed Capital Campaign Plan dated 3/31/09.
· Reviewed potential campaign packets. Agreed to pursue a brochure type pamphlet, with indexed topic sheets, and potentially copies of the CD of Clarkson video.
· Pat will email out case statement and Capital Campaign and requests comments, and formal approval by the Board.
· Tracy will work on prototype for Wood Wall and Board is requested to suggest a catchy name for the wall for branding/marketing.
5 New Business
· Major gifts meeting scheduled for April 7th; time TBD by attendees.
· Bonnie requested Board decision whether we should join New York State Humane Association. To be discussed at next regular Board meeting.
6 Motion to adjourn made at 7:45 p.m. by Jackie and seconded by Lucille; unanimously approved.
