Please join the Potsdam Humane Society for the 10th Annual Strut Your Mutt Dog Walk & Craft Show! PHS will hold our 10th Annual Strut Your Mutt on Saturday May 4th at the Pine Street Arena, Potsdam! The day kicks off with a dog walk, which offers a relaxed, family-friendly event with water stops along the way. Registration for the walk is 8:30am-9:30am. The walk starts promptly at 9:30am. Eligibility for the walk is by collecting pledge donations, or just making a donation on behalf of yourself. There are over 50 prizes that are donated by local businesses for the walkers. The Craft Show at the Pine Street Arena is open from 9am-2pm (free admission!), as well as the Clarkson & Potsdam Garden Club’s annual plant sale will be held inside. In addition, there is a basket raffles, food, and kids activities!

Strut Your Mutt is one of the Potsdam Humane Society’s major fundraisers for the year. Every dollar raised will help PHS care for 1,200+ animals each year through its lifesaving programs, including adoption, cruelty investigation, emergency rescue, reuniting lost animals with their owners, humane education, our low cost spay and neuter program (Project S.N.I.P), Rabies and Microchip Clinics, and the PHS Veterans Adoption Program (where adoption fees are waived for active duty or military veterans).
Dog Walk.
There is no set minimum donation for the walk! You can either make a donation on your behalf, OR you can collect pledges from family, friends and co-workers! No amount is too small! PHS strives to be a no-kill shelter, meaning no animal will lose their life due to lack of space or the resources to care for them. That means that our operational and medical expenses are very high, and events like Strut Your Mutt help to raise money for these needs!
Vendor Space.
PHS still has vendor spaces available for the Craft Show. 10 x 10 spaces are available for just $10. PHS just provides the space, while vendors need to bring all of their own tables and displays. Basket Raffle.
For the past few years, PHS has added a themed basket raffle to the day. Themed baskets are donated by members of the community, and in the past years there have been some really creative baskets! Themes such as; BBQ, CarWash, Wine Lovers, Chocolates, Gardening, Spa Day, Dog Lovers, etc. If you are interested in donating a basket to the raffle, please contact the shelter at (315) 265-3199 or shelter@wordpress-603704-3978173.cloudwaysapps.com.
